DEEPFINDER
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Deepfinder (early playtest prototype)
An action roguelike FPS dungeon crawler by a solo dev. Every descent is a fresh procedural cave. Four weapons, fully seed driven, never the same run twice. Early playtest. Tell me if it is fun! :)
What you do in this build:
- Dive into a fully procedural seed driven dungeon (the Hideout). Replayable, nothing placed by hand, never the same twice on a random seed.
- Fight with four weapons:
- Brawler: an axe that flies, hits, and returns to your hand
- Wizard: a wand that conjures a homing arcane orb
- Hunter: a bow with a ballistic arrow that turns almost hitscan at full draw
- Alchemist: a flask that arcs and bursts, hitting a whole group
- Tap for a quick shot. Hold to charge. Every weapon ramps smoothly from light to heavy
- Face 8 creature types with reactive AI and ambushes. I challenge you to beat The Great Eye in a 16-room dungeon without dying :)
This is a prototype demo playtest for me to see if people find the core loop fun or not. As a solo developer, I want to understand where to focus my efforts and whether I should continue this project. I want to answer: is the core loop fun?
The full game adds a base camp, horizontal/vertical crafting and cooking, old school rpg style interactive furniture, weapon schools, bosses and more biomes. None of that is here yet, I’m still developing those systems.

I love this - reminds me of Delver and Barony. And the core loop is fun - keep it up!
Very cool game, I like it!
